regular walks

do you wish to enjoy the outdoor adventures close at hand, I do and will endeavour to challenge myself and friends to follow.

regular walks is the key, so start with a stroll around the neighbourhood and increase the distance once you are confident with your progress.

comfortable shoes are essential, and dry feet.  I walk with a thin sock then a woollen for warmth and comfort for those 8 day walks. eg. Dusky Track is spectacle worth experiencing, extreme of terrain and breathtaking beauty, personal challenge of 3 wire walks and swing bridges.

a pack is handy, 40 litre for day walks and a 65 - 90 litre for multiple days.A storm cover is also a good option and zip away harness for flight travel. An orange or yellow plastic survival bag liner is great in an emergency and keeps your essentials dry.

water bottle, first aid kit, food, raincoat, hat... sleeping bag, torch, matches, emergency food, warm clothes... luxuries, chocolate, wine, toilet paper, soap.
